What do you do when you realise what you are doing on a day to day basis isn’t making you happy? Well, you compile a list of all of the things that inspire you and do make you happy, find the common themes and then create a business and a life centred around those things.
That’s how Meraki Produce was born.
In this episode you hear how Jacquie Koschitzke gets her John Travolta strut on as she resigns from her safe and secure job as a teacher to pursue her purpose and passion: Food.
Jacquie sources the key ingredients of how to start and run a successful business from a basic Google search right through to the subject matter experts and mentors.
What Jaccquie has done and is doing isn’t easy. It has been hard, hard work. But the moral of this story is that Jacquie’s doing makes her happy. She loves food and she is passionate about creating healthy and nutritious food that’s made for both the heart and the soul.
Bon appétit.
Early days cooking in Jacquie’s tiny kitchen.
She made over 20,000 meals in this kitchen.Being an ex-primary school teacher, I missed being with children but have always been very passionate about educating children in healthy eating so Meraki introduced children’s cooking classes after 12 months. Our little commercial kitchen that also happens to be a shop! After creating Meraki and the brand in two weeks, here I am presenting what we offer to F45 Albury. My rocks. They have believed in me since day 1. My husband has been my biggest supporter and is the other half of Meraki. I still get butterflies when I see the Meraki logo. Jacquie (L): “Lindy was one of the best business decisions I made. She is a chef and I hired her 6 months into starting Meraki and she is a huge part of Meraki today.”
