Nyadol Nyuon has constructed her whole identity around being strong. She had to.
Nyadol was born in a refugee camp in Ethiopia, at the tender age of 4 she was separated from her mother. As a child she was enveloped in an environment full of fear, abuse and trauma.
But fear, pain and loss are not Nyadol’s whole story.
Since arriving in Australia at the age of 18 Nyadol has been sprinting towards what she is passionate about. She is a lawyer, a writer, a leader and she fights for what’s right, what’s just and what’s true.
And today she is walking alongside the discovery that it’s not what you do that is the most important, it’s who you are that matters most.
